September 2024
We're once again this year inviting you to join the Circle of Philanthropy and be part of the solution to meet the community's needs.
In 2018, GHWC began its Annual Gift Campaign replacing monthly raffles at meetings. It was also a way of providing members an opportunity to support the GHWC mission if they were unable to attend the Club's fundraising events. Over the last few years, this opportunity has enabled GHWC to make a significant impact on helping those in need in Flagler County.
The generosity of our members has enabled us to help feed thousands in Flagler County through the Grace Food Pantry, Our Father’s Table and St. Vincent de Paul. It has also enabled us to provide funds to the Free Clinic to assist in their effort to continue to help the medically under-served. GHWC has long supported the Family Life Center; and our generosity has allowed them to help additional families in crisis.
The Circle of Philanthropy funds have also allowed GHWC to continue to support education through scholarships for graduating seniors, some of whom are the first in their families to have the opportunity to attend college. We have continued to support the Take Stock in Children program, as well as Teacher Innovation grants and the STUFF Bus. Through a program called Kids Rock the Nation, we have provided funds to purchase musical equipment for students who would otherwise be unable to afford them.
And not to forget our furry friends we offer support to the Flagler Humane Society to provide care and supplies to handle those pets left by owners no longer able to care for them.
We are coming to you again this year to invite you to make your tax deductible contribution and become a member of our Circle of Philanthropy and meet our $15,000 goal. This will enable GHWC to continue to have an impact on those in need in our community. You can send your contribution made payable to GHWC to the address listed above.
You may also make your contribution on-line by clicking the Donate button above. Either way, your contribution is appreciated and you can take pride in being part of the solution to meeting the needs of the under-served in Flagler County.
Sincerely,
Awilda Hamilton, President
